British Glass Biennale 2022 video

It’s always really good to feel appreciated. I was pleased to find this video online showing the personal choices of the gallery manager and the photographer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrVeqF0Px5k It’s only about 15 minutes long but I’m mentioned just after 7.30 minutes.

In addition there’s a series of 8 videos showing all the 2022 Biennale pieces and my “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is shown on video 8.

Reflections studies

I’ve had fun exploring reflections in Optical crystal blocks.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

I enjoy using multi-layered glass to create intricate designs. The talented Sonja Klingler has blown a number of lovely pieces using beautiful colours of my choice, which are only revealed when I carve into the glass. My most recent piece in this technique is A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This was my exhibit at the recent British Glass Biennale in Stourbridge. It sold at the Private View.

Upcoming exhibition

I am a guest artist exhibiting along side of the Ed Org exhibition at Obsidian Art in Buckinghamshire from 11 February until 27 March. I hope lots of people can come and visit and see my work and that of other featured artists. Here is one of my pieces called “Wood Nymphs” (vase blown for me by Sonja Klingler).

Contemporary Glass Society

I was recently featured in the digital newsletter of the Contemporary Glass Society

2021

Hoping that this year will be more creative. I’m looking forward to sharing new work soon.

Looking Forward

2020 has been a strange year for us all. Expected exhibitions didn’t happen, galleries closed for months and fewer people wanted commissions. However now we can start thinking about 2021. I hope to be doing a lot of new pieces for exhibition and I look forward to hearing from potential new clients.

Not so busy 2020

The Guild of Glass Engravers’ exhibition at Durlston Castle near Swanage, Dorset from 4-19 April 2020 was cancelled but we hope to try again at Easter 2021. I do have work on sale all year round at the gallery of the Somerset Guild of Craftsmen in Wells, Somerset and Yandles Gallery in Martock, Somerset. I can work to commission and prices depend on the quality of glass used and the amount of engraving. It is a good idea to contact me with an idea of what sort of budget you have so we can work out what I can do for you.
